Sorry its been so long since my last post! I will try and update you on whats been happening and whats coming on the horizon. We had a mild winter here in Wisconsin! (Unfortunately due to injuries, my training has been less than ideal)

I am finally back on schedule with solid structured training. I decided to kick off my Spring Break by "traveling" to my parents house in Hartland to enjoy 10 degree warmer weather than what we have in Milwaukee. The past few days it has been 70's-80's and I have been able to get some great workouts in. Friday I was VO2 Max Tested (Run) at UW-Whitewater, which was an awesome and humbling experience! Shortly after I went for a nice trail run in Nashotah Park where i did Hill Intervals. Saturday I did a 60 Mile Bike through the Kettle Moraine State Forest (one of my favorite areas to ride in Wisconsin) at 70.3 Race Pace on my TT Bike. Today I went for a 14 mile run at 70.3 Race Pace on the crushed limestone Bugline Trail. I seem to be forgetting something...Oh yeah swimming...about that. I went for a sockless run about a week ago, which resulted in the bloodiest feet I have ever had. Long story short, I have about eight wounds on my feet that are still healing, and I found out (the hard way) that chlorine and open wounds do not mix too well.
I have my first race of the year coming up in 13 days (not that i'm counting?;) The race is a Half Ironman in Oceanside, CA. Originally I had planned on this being an A race. I had hoped to have had a solid 18 weeks of training, unfortunately it has been more like three weeks. But it will be a good learning experience, and having never been to California I am excited to check out Oceanside and neighboring San Diego! (Plus sometimes my best races are those that I come in under trained :)
Shortly after Oceanside I will be traveling to Tuscaloosa, AL for the USAT Collegiate National Championships, an olympic race. I raced this last year, and if you ever get a chance to go DO IT! It was by far my most memorable experience in Triathlon that I have had thus far.
I have been busy with acquiring new jobs, and interviewing for potential jobs. I have recently (past three months) landed two new jobs! I am the Director of Marketing for The Dean of Students Office at UWM and am also a Sports Marketing/Management Intern for Team Sports Inc. (Working with the Team Timex Multisport Team) I spent two weeks interviewing and preparing a Harvard Case Study for a Marketing Position in Belgium, where I would get to work with a large multi-national corporation's Europe, Middle East, and Asia Operations. I made the Top 4 of the original 50+ who were interviewed, unfortunately I did not land the position :(
School is going really well, Deans List again last semester and on course to do so again this semester. I will be graduating in December with a BBA :)
Sorry for the long post, its been a LONG time since my last post, I will try and update more often now that the Season will be starting in less than two weeks! Thank you for reading, and I hope everyone is enjoying this weather as much as I am :) Take care, Enjoy some March Madness Basketball, and Happy Training!
